Insurance Reimbursement:
Ask about possible insurance reimbursement for the issue you have. As of 2003, sometimes my weight management and smoking cessation programs can be reimbursed through IRS tax credit. For either of these situations you will need a doctor's referral or a doctor's prescription. Ask for details.

Sessions
Different programs require a different number of sessions, which also vary depending on the personal circumstances of the client. The intake form that you complete at the beginning tells me a lot about your needs and how the main problem relates to your life and goals overall. Using the 7 Keys method, a game plan or roadmap is created to get you from where you are to where you want to be. It is your choice to follow your program completely (recommended in the way that your doctor orders you to complete an antibiotic prescription) or pick and choose among elements of it.
At your intake appointment clients get a free CD or mp3 of the hypnosis portion of the session. Rates and Fees
Initial 2-hour Intake Session is $125. All sessions within the body of the client's program will be in this category. This includes comprehensive intake, develop a written plan of action (or roadmap) to meeting client's goals, conduct and record a session in hypnosis. Interactive and regression sessions also fit this category.
Regular Sessions of an hour and a half. If pre-paid as a complete program sessions are $90 each; if pre-paid as your program progresses, sessions are $98. Payment at time of service (a la carte, is $125 per session. All sessions within the body of the client's program will be in this category.
A free 20-minute initial consultation is still offered to new clients, to learn about hypnosis and if we make a good fit together.
Cancellations
If you must cancel an appointment, please do so as soon as possible and by telephone; I won't see email or a letter in time and my Cancellation Policy will apply: If an appointment is cancelled or missed without 24 hours notice by phone, clients will be billed for the full amount. Appointments for which I have arranged non-regular times or meeting places, will be billed if cancelled under any circumstances.
Allergy Elimination
$195/two-hour session plus a 50-minute Follow-up session at $75. Any further visits that might be required will follow my regular rates as above for 90 minutes. This can occur if there are emotional issues attached to the allergy.
Stop Smoking
$200/two-session minimum to be pre-paid 4 days before the first session, if I agree to accept the client for private sessions. This depends on many things so expect an extended conversation when you telephone. Most smoking cessation clients are referred to Smoking Cessation workshops sponsored by the Bristol Recreation Dept OR call for a professionally made CD to use in your own home. The CD "Become Smoke Free," was made by a former smoker who used hypnosis to quit. These are suggested for highly motivated self-starters. With your motivation and either of the excellent CDs offered, you can be smoke-free in 30 days!
Workshops occasionally offered in Bristol, Waitsfield, Richmond and Burlington; pre-registration is required by a minimum number of participants so that I can offer these at reduced prices.
Speaking engagements are usually free of charg, except for teaching institutions, where a conventional speaking fee or honorarium will be accepted.

Certifications:
I am a clinical Hypnotherapist certified both in the UK (DHyp) and the US (CHt) and a certified HypnoBirthing® instructor.
In addition to my hypnosis qualifications, I hold a doctorate in medical anthropology, with a specialization in alternative heath care.
Confidentiality
Client confidentiality is a critical part of successful hypnosis and will be carefully adhered to. As with any counseling situation, your privacy is respected and honored. When it is indicated that I should communicate with another party (ie, a physician or psychologist) you will be asked to sign a Disclosure Authorization.
